With the holiday season in full swing, High Purity New England (HPNE) is closing out a year filled with giving back. The holidays can be a stressful time for families in need, and #TeamHPNE believes in helping those who are less fortunate.

Following its huge success last year, HPNE continued their relationship with Adopt-A-Family, a Rhode Island nonprofit organization that helps donate gifts during the holiday season to underprivileged families in the area. The company set up Christmas trees inside their facilities, decorated with name tags containing a family and/or child’s holiday wishes and members from Team HPNE spent the following week fulfilling these wishes.

Furthering their commitment to holiday giving, HPNE partnered with the U.S. Marine Corps-led Toys for Tots, a charity that collects and distributes presents to underprivileged families. The FlexConnexx Team at HPNE spent the day volunteering at their facility, putting together presents for several families.

Mary Ellen Comeau, Client Services Manager of the FlexConnexx program, shared, “It was equal parts rewarding and fun. I love to see how things work and it was interesting to see how they receive “orders” from organizations needing toys.” She then continued, ”We assisted in filling the orders by sorting through the donations for various age ranges. The time was well spent building relationships within our team and the community. I look forward to doing it again next year.”

Along with their volunteer efforts at Toys for Tots, members of the Sales Team volunteered at Goodwill of Southern New England in Providence, Rhode Island. They spent the day assisting and sorting goods at the facility, as the holidays are one of Goodwill’s busiest times of the year.

These are the latest initiatives from HPNE to increase their involvement in the local community, in addition to supporting these either non-profits through-out the year, Boys and Girls Clubs of Providence and Jewish Community Center of Rhode Island. HPNE also recently completed their Annual “Art on the Wall” Scholarship Program, which supports local students graduating from high school to help them in their first year of college.
