Founded in 2021, Green Elephant Biotech empowers biopharmaceutical manufacturing and development to embrace sustainability by being the world’s first company to produce labware from plant-based plastic. Through products like the innovative CellScrew®, Green Elephant aims to help companies use less lab space, manual labor, and plastic materials — ultimately reducing CO2 emissions by up to 90%. This new partnership demonstrates HPNE’s commitment to the continuous growth and development of their cutting-edge product offerings, and allows them to expand their capabilities by providing the strongest solutions for their customers' needs. The CellScrew® is no exception, with its compact design that is easy for handling, while also maintaining a high surface area to volume ratio. The combination of an Archimedean Screw, central tube, and concentric cylinders create a highly oxygenated environment for continuous mixing. Constructed with a 3D-printed, plant-based PLA bioplastic, the CellScrew® also reduces plastic waste by 90% in comparison with competing solutions. As we approach the end of 2023, HPNE looks forward to announcing additional partnerships in the near future.
In addition to this new collaboration, High Purity New England has also recently announced collaborations with Custom Sensors & Technology to expand their product offerings, and have been successfully distributing products from partnered companies like Quattroflow.
