The Giving Tree At HPNE

With the holidays approaching, #TeamHPNE supports local families in Rhode Island with its first Giving Tree, a tradition in the making.

Smithfield, RI – High Purity New England (HPNE) has partnered with Adopt-A-Family this holiday season as an initiative to give back to their community. Based in Rhode Island, Adopt-A-Family is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping families of children in need. Companies, schools, churches and individuals come together to provide children in the local community with toys, books, and warm winter clothes for the holidays.

Between November 22nd and December 3rd, all HPNE employees were encouraged to visit the Christmas trees in two of the company’s facilities and take a gift tag ornament from the branches. Each ornament had the name, age, and holiday wishes of a child being assisted by Adopt-A-Family. A week later, presents arrived in HPNE’s headquarters dressed up in colorful bows and name tags, for those in need.

During the holiday season, acts of philanthropy like these–regardless of the size–make a significant difference to the communities in which we live; a simple act of kindness can go a long way. By coming together this holiday season for a greater cause, #TeamHPNE was able to provide gifts to 4 families in Rhode Island being helped through Adopt-A-Family.

“We were so grateful for this opportunity to work with Adopt-A-Family,” said Jennifer Blose, HR Manager at High Purity New England. “Their cause is a special one, and we are excited to have found another way to support the communities in which we live and work.”

This year’s donors were able to successfully provide assistance to all of Adopt-A-Family’s recipients. Although their volunteer spots are all filled up for 2021, the organization is always accepting donations for future children in need through their website, here

HPNE continues to support their local community through new outreach programs, such as their annual scholarship program, which supports students graduating from local high schools, or sponsoring uniforms for local school students. They also give support through other ways, like donations to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Providence, the Jewish Community Center of Rhode Island, the Gatsby Foundation and Bravo Bradley.
