High Purity New England Announces Sean Herdlein as Managing Director
Following the departure of Founder and CEO Mark Sitcoske, HPNE, a Getinge Company, has announced the appointment of tenured biotech professional Sean Herdlein as Managing Director.
Smithfield, RI, USA - High Purity New England (HPNE), a leading manufacturer and provider of solutions for the biopharmaceutical industry such as single-use assemblies, sensors and pumps is thrilled to announce the appointment of Sean Herdlein as Managing Director at HPNE.
Starting his career at Getinge in 2002, Sean most recently held the position of Managing Director of Applikon B.V. at Getinge. Sean will also remain in his previous role of Vice President of Bioprocessing at Getinge, overseeing operations at both High Purity New England and Applikon B.V., which both fall under Getinge’s Life Sciences division.
With over two decades of bioprocess industry experience, we believe Sean will be crucial in continuing the seamless integration of High Purity New England with Getinge, which has been ongoing since 2023. Additionally, his ties to Applikon will create opportunities for collaboration between the innovative line of Getinge bioreactor systems with HPNE’s flagship HPConnexx™ Single-Use Assemblies.

This announcement follows the announcement of the departure of Founder and CEO Mark A. Sitcoske, who will be remaining at the company in a consulting role.
