Job Summary:

The Accounting Associate provides high-level administrative support and analytical services to plan, implement and oversee all general accounting duties. The Accounting Associate position is designed to provide timely and accurate financial information and analysis to management in order to ensure fiscal responsibility in support of the business operations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

The responsibilities will include but not limited to:
▪ Responsible for daily transactions including accounts payables, accounts receivables and
monthly reconciliation
o Check and enter invoices
o Pay verified bills
o Handle online freight account payments
o Enter new accounts and process credit applications
o Prepare monthly customers statements and follow up as needed
o Record cash receipts
o Prepare bank deposits
o Reconcile monthly bank and credit card statements
▪ Handle all mailings, data entry activities and maintain filing system
▪ Perform other projects and duties as assigned by the Accounting Supervisor or CEO for the
overall benefit of the organization

 

Required Skills and Abilities:

▪ Excellent organizational and time management skills
▪ Excellent written and verbal communications skills
▪ Proven track record of accounting skills
▪ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with an intermediate skill level for Excel

 

Education and Experience:

• 3 years of related accounting experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
• QuickBooks experience preferred
• ERP system experience preferred

 

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
